Money is'nt everything

Hi am here again after a long time.. to write about an incident I captured. I was waiting to board a train @ Gudur Railway station way back to Chennai. I noticed a boy, should be between 15 to 17 yrs, an orphan. He had a small baby monkey with him, it was squeaking so loudly which actually caught my attention to him. I should say that it was tooooooo pranky one, running here and there not keeping itself in a place. The boy called it and he started to feed some tea or coffee, dipping his fingers in to a disposable cup and making the little prankster lick. I started capturing him on my mob as usual and he somehow noticed it. And I shut my recording after a while. And he came to me calling “ Akka Akka” asking for some money. Gave him some change I had and there came a person middle aged to the boy asking “ enti ra ee kothi naaku isthava 500 isthaanu” (Translation – Hey will u gimme this monkey I will pay you 500) He just looked at him and said “idhi naadhi kaadhandi, valani adagali” (Translation – It is not mine, I need to ask) and went away. I need to say it was so obvious that he does not have to ask anyone, after all I can see both of them are orphans, he did not wanna get parted from this being (a new found friend for him). To escape more questions from the gentleman the boy just got down from the platform to the track and got on to the next platform. I was just thinking, he definitely needs money and 500 is a lottery for him, still he denied it. As I was thinking this, I could still hear the prankster squeak loud from the next platform happily.
